Why Choose the S2 LiDAR?
The FJ Dynamics S2 LiDAR scanner weighs only 2kg, so surveyors can easily navigate sites and collect large data sets without suffering from fatigue.
Despite its small size, this LiDAR scanner holds impressive capabilities. It integrates two 12MP cameras, which can generate real-time colourised point clouds.
While the FJD S2 LiDAR is more expensive than FJD’s P1 model, its performance does justify the price increase. Its scanning speed is over three times that of the P1, scanning 640,000pts/s compared to the first gen’s 200,000pts/s. Both models are highly adept in difficult conditions, including underground, in the dark, and in bright conditions. However, the S2 performs with greater ease regardless of its surroundings due to its better specs. Its max scan range again dwarfs the P1’s, at 300m opposed to 70m.
Designed to capture data in difficult locations, the compact, light-weight FJ Dynamics S2 LiDAR scanner creates highly accurate point clouds with real-time colourisation. This is supported by integration with modern survey software, practical accessories, and mounting options.
Surveying uses
The S2 LiDAR scanner thrives in tricky conditions – areas with limited signal, dense tree cover, and both indoors and outside. The coordinate system can support up to 8000 points, eliminating time-consuming manual coordinate conversions. SLAM algorithms and VIO pinpoint scan locations even in challenging environments.

Topographical Surveys
The scanner can prove exceptionally useful from day one of a project – generating detailed topographical surveys, critical to land development proposals. The S2 can be mounted on survey drones to give surveyors greater flexibility when mapping and taking distance measurements.

In property management assessments, the scanner can identify areas in disrepair for renovation or risk control, providing an in-depth picture for potential investors.

Delivery Policy
- Local deliveries will be made by our own fleet to addresses within 2-3 hours of our depots – this covers most of England and Wales.
- We’ll also deliver outside of the UK, using national couriers (UPS).
- Costs for delivery are depending on the weight and dimensions of the package.
- All packages are securely and safely packaged, typically using recycled packaging from our suppliers.
- If the item is in stock it will be delivered within 2-3 working days
- If an item is out of stock it will be delivered within 5-10 working days – any longer and we will contact you to advise and confirm a revised delivery date.

Refund Policy
- We hope you will be pleased with your purchase. Should you wish to return anything to us we will be happy to refund or exchange any goods returned to us unused, undamaged and fully resale able within 10 working days of receipt by the customer. The cost of returning any goods other than faulty goods is paid by the customer.
- The customer is liable for any goods returned to us that arrive damaged due to poor packing on the customers part.
- If goods are returned to us after 14 working days or not in a fully resale able condition, we reserve the right to refuse a refund or to deduct a 25% re-stocking charge.
